Top tip number 32 is all about soft skills. It's very easy to overlook soft skills, those personal attributes that support situational awareness and enhance an individual's ability to do their job well. Leadership, communication, time management, collaboration, self-motivation, decision making, embracing change, empathy. There's likely a list of soft skills your organization's values than most, and it's imperative. Your emerging talent is aware of them and supported to learn more about them. Mentoring is obviously a great way to do this when they start, but training and awareness can start during onboarding, helping your emerging talent to develop a higher level of emotional intelligence and better relationships with their peers.
