Here I'm again back with another top tip for onboarding and merging talent. We've already touched on the need to support your emerging talent during onboarding. Top tip number 33, and one of the best support mechanisms you can put in place is an onboarding buddy, and that's top tip number 36. A buddy, preferably a previous grad, or similar on the same scheme, is the perfect person to support your new emerging talent during pre-boarding. They can be the go-to person for all of those silly and not so silly questions, as well as a trusted avenue to a world of information on your organization, it's culture, and what it's really like to work there after day one. That same buddy can help them thrive, and there's loads of benefits for the buddy too, helping them develop better soft skills.
