I'm back again with a slightly embarrassing T-shirt and another top tip for creating a very engaging onboarding experience. I want to now get into the nitty-gritty of how you create something special for your organization. You've got your onboarding vision, but how do you deliver on it? For me, this is a perfect opportunity to get your project team together for the first time and define what your onboarding journey will look like for your organization. I find a giant piece of paper, whether real or digital, really helps with this. At one end, onboarding starts. At the other, it stops. And somewhere in the middle is your new hire's start date. Now, just fill in the blanks. This should be a pie in the sky thinking session. There should be no limitation to your ideas, and all ideas should be discussed. And most importantly, make sure you spend as much time on engagement and experience as you do on compliance, if not more. This is about defining perfection first, about how best to deliver on your vision before budgets, legacy technology, and red tape all raise their ugly heads.

Now, it would be remiss of me not to mention that Eli has won Technology Innovation at the RMAs and Onboarding Technology Solution of the Year at the Tiaras.
