Eli Wrapped 2024
01/01/2026
Another year, another chance for Eli to celebrate the incredible work being done in preboarding and onboarding across the globe. From new hires starting their careers with a bang, to line managers getting hands-on, 2025 has been a year of engagement, insight, and impact. Here’s what our year in onboarding looked like.
New hires have been highly engaged. In 2025, 93% of employees completed their Eli journeys, showing just how vital a smooth onboarding experience can be. This is down a little on 2024, but only by 2%, so nothing to worry about there, especially as our client with the least engagement still hits a whopping 85%.
On average, each session lasted 8 minutes and 51 seconds, with new hires logging in 17.5 times over the course of their onboarding – that figure buoyed by our early career clients, one of which saw an average of 43.8 sessions per new hire! Across all clients, we saw over 100,000 minutes spent on Eli – enough time to walk around the earth (apparently). And an astonishing 49,475 average page views – proof that when onboarding is done right, people stick around and interact.
Enhancing line manager
Involvement Line managers continue to play a pivotal role in successful onboarding, with 78.6% actively engaging in the process this year. One client, a Formula One team stood out once again, boasting almost 100% line manager involvement, showing how commitment from the boss is still the number one thing new hires want, a fact emphasised by their 100% new hire engagement.
Driving organisational success
Onboarding isn’t just about getting new hires up to speed, it’s about reducing early attrition and giving HR teams the tools to succeed. In our 2026 client survey 100% of clients (so far – we’ll update this blog when all responses are in) feel Eli reduces the amount of preboarding/ onboarding admin they have to deal with, and 100% feel Eli has helped them reduce early attrition.
"One graduate client saw a 3% reduction in grad reneges, even though their cohort was only on the system for 3 months!"
Cost & quality of onboarding
New starters consistently rated their preboarding and onboarding experiences highly, with an average satisfaction of 4.7/5, and the lowest rating recorded at 4.4/5. The numbers speak for themselves – high engagement, happy new hires, and structured onboarding equals real organisational value and huge ROI.
Looking Ahead
Exciting things are on the horizon for 2026 too. Our newly launched line manager dashboard, streamlines admin for managers and helps them keep an eye on their new hires’ engagement. And coming in Q1, Noggin, our AI admin support tool. Designed to help teams use Eli better and analyse the wealth of data on Eli’s dashboard, Noggin will enable our partners to create more engaging preboarding and onboarding experiences that set people up for success.
